A Blog Recognition Award- Liebster, Baby!

The pretty & lovely Megan from Busy, Young, Single Mom Sanity made my day today when she nominated me for the Liebster Award! I loved reading her 11 Random Facts... hey, Megan, 7 is totally my favorite/lucky number, too! In fact, my wedding anniversary is 7/7/07. :) Thank you again for the nomination!

What is the Liebster Award? Here are the Rules!:

My 11 Random Facts:

 

I have a really ridiculous aversion to the sound of napkins/paper towels being ripped- strange I know, but it makes me incredibly tense and panicky. Growing up, my brothers would rip them right by ears.

 

My brothers were totally mean to their baby sister during our childhood!

 

People often mistake me for being of Hispanic heritage- however, I'm Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, and Filipino from my mom's side plus Irish and Italian from my father's side. When questioned about my heritage, though, I almost always just say Hawaiian and Irish!

 

I didn't actually start driving regularly until last year- five years into my marriage. Crazy, huh?

 

I HATE driving my husband's big ol' truck, so I'm very excited to become a two-vehicle househould this year!

 

I could probably eat pasta every day for the rest of my life. Mmm, fettucini alfredo.

 

All my kids birthdays are in the same week in December, the week before Christmas!

 

All three of my children had to be born via c-section.

 

I always have very creative and good ideas but I'm the WORST about implementing them. I have the creativity but I definitely need to work on the follow-through!

 

I'm an avid blog stalker reader- I seriously can't tell you how many hours I'd probably gain in sleep a night if it weren't for all the awesome DIY/home decor/craft/sewing/parenting blogs out there!

 

I love any kind of post-apocalyptic show or movie- The Walking Dead is my favorite!

 

Questions for me from Megan at Busy, Young, Single Mom Sanity:

 

What is your greatest fear?
As predictable of an answer this may be, my biggest fear is any harm coming to my kids.

 

What is an accomplishment you've made that has stuck with you?Well, the first part of 2012 brought about some very, very bad times in my marriage. I consider it a great accomplishment that my husband and I were able to get through that all, come back together and be better than ever before.

 

Bad Habits?
I'm addicted to caffiene and have made so many (unsuccessful) attempts to cut back my soda consumption. I also still bite my nails a lot more than a grown woman should!

 

If you had to be an animal, what animal would that be? Why?
I'd so like to say something very regal like a lion but if I'm being honest... some kind of marine animal that's capable of going very deep. I'm so curious about the ocean yet terrified of it! Being able to explore it freely would be awesome!

 

The most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?Oh, Lordy. I'm constantly doing "embarrassing" things on account of being a tad ditzy every now and then- my parents and my husband have this running joke where they are always telling me "it's a good thing you're pretty" during my moments.

 

Your earliest memory from childhood?
I remember a game I used I play with my cousin who was only a month older than me.

 

When you first meet someone, what is the first thing you notice?It's probably not the first thing I notice, but the frst thing that makes an impression is their voice and a big one is their laugh!

 

Morning habits?
Coffee. Making breakfast & my husband's lunch for the day. Teeth & face. Check email.

 

If someone made a movie biography of you, who would be the best actor/actress to fill your shoes?
Hmm... yeah, NO idea. I can't think of anyone that I feel would be a good representation of me 'cause I feel like anyone I say would make me sound like I think MUCH higher of myself than I actually do. Lol.

 

If you could stay one age for the rest of your life, what age would that be? Why?
Pass, please! I wouldn't ever want to stay one age if that meant all the people I love were aging around me and I'd be without them at some point!

 

Last movie that made you cry?
The Hunger Games!
